Charles Anthony McAden, age 65 of Sanford, North Carolina transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Central Carolina Hospital.
On February 20th, 2021 @3:30pm, with Baby Girl by his side, God saw fit to take him home. He was preceded in death by his father Marshall Odell McAden; mother, Mary W. McAden, three brothers, Donald McAden, Barry McAden, Marshal B. McAden, and two sisters Debra McAden and Mary C. McAden.
Charles graduated from Sanford Central High School in 1974. He was a member of Wall Street Baptist Church, now First Calvary Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir. Charles held many jobs growing up, KFC, Miller funeral home, and the textile industry, to name a few. Charles enlisted in the United States Army in 1982. Charles served 7 years. After leaving the military Charles returned to his hometown of Sanford NC. Charles worked in textile for many years until he retired. Charles was a brother, uncle, friend, and mentor to many. He had a charm that everyone that he came in contact with loved.
He leaves to mourn one sister, Kathy M. Taylor (James J. Taylor), one brother, Cedric L. McAden, three nieces Dominick McAden of Sanford, NC, Sonia Simmons, and Marcia Bryant, of Beaufort SC. four nephews, Deltaris McAden, Akil McAden of Sanford NC, Brian McAden, of Roanoke Virginia, Socorro Johnson of Virginia, and a stepdaughter, Nikki Gregory. One aunt, Alice Brower, of Spring Lake, and a total of 11 great-nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
