Mr. Chad Derrill Chalmers, age 33 of Greensboro, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

Chad Derrill Chalmers, 33, of Greensboro, NC, was the oldest son of Lester Derrill and Janice McKoy Chalmers of Cameron, NC. He was born June 27, 1988 and passed June 27, 2021. He joined Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Jerry Lamar Johnson. As a youth, he was very active in his church serving as a member of the youth choir and youth usher board, and he worked with the Armed Services YMCA. He later served his church as a trustee, assistant superintendent of Sunday School, usher, steward, and as a member of the male choir.
Chad graduated from Western Harnett High School and attended North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University (NC A&T), Greensboro, NC. While at NC A&T, he was a member of ROTC and was frequently on the Dean’s List. He was employed at Wesley Long Hospital for a number of years and he volunteered to serve his community. Chad loved spending time with his wife and sons, Dynver and Dallas. He also enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and working alongside his father and brother. Chad had a special bond with his first cousins and communicated with them regularly. He was known to make people laugh and smile, but will be most remembered for his kind heart and humble spirit.
Chad was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Willie McKoy and Warnie Mae McKoy McAuley and paternal grandfather Johnnie James Chalmers.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Robyn Johnson Chalmers and their two son’s Dynver Derrill Chalmers and Dallas Lee Chalmers of Greensboro, NC. He also leaves his parents Janice and Lester Chalmers; his siblings Cameron Chalmers Dupree (Coty), North Chesterfield, VA and Caleb Lewis Chalmers (Dedra) of Fayetteville, NC; his paternal grandmother Parthenia C. Chalmers of Cameron, NC, his in-laws Robert and Valgene Johnson of Jarrettsville, MD; his aunts Delois Richardson (Anthony), Sanford, NC, Patricia C. Chalmers of Cameron, NC, Reatha McCrimmon of Cameron, NC, Vanessa Rogers of Sanford, NC, Wentsel Davis (Waymon), Sanford, NC, and Willie Mae Harrington (Robert), Hollis, NY; one uncle, James Lewis Chalmers (Jean) Vass, NC; one great uncle Jessie Lee Chalmers, Sanford, NC and one great aunt Clara B. C. Blue, Cameron, NC; three nieces (Carmin Hogan, Zaara Chalmers, and Cailyn Dupree); two nephews (Coty Dupree, Jr. and Zayne Chalmers). He also leaves a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
