Ms. Cathy Mae Neal, age 61, of Sanford, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at her residence.
The Obituary
Cathy Mae Neal was born April 13, 1963, to David Neal Sr. and Willie Mae Neal.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. Cathy attended Sanford Central High School. She was an employee as a Hardee’s cook. She was the light in any dark space and the loud in any quiet one. You heard her before you ever seen her coming. She will be truly and deeply missed.
Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Neal; father, David Neal Sr.; sister, Sharon Neal; and three brothers, Rufus Neal, David Neal Jr., and Eddie Neal.
She leaves behind to uphold and cherish her memories, three daughters, Alonna Griffin, Ter’ressa Griffin, and Katrina Griffin; one son, Jerome Mclean; grandchildren, Quinton, Christopher, De’Naisha, Griffin, Thomas, McKenzye, Tremar, Kyleigh, Robert, and AJ; one sister, Lula Neal; one aunt, Diane Martin; one uncle, Dennis Martin Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
