Ms. Catherine Delma Moore, age 71, of Pittsboro, NC, transitioned to eternal rest on Monday, March 09, 2026, at UNC Chatham Hospital in Siler City, NC.
Obituary
Catherine entered this world on March 4, 1955, to the late Burton Thomas Moore Sr. and Shirley Ardelia Dark. She ascended home to be with Jehovah on March 9, 2026, surrounded by his never-ending peace and comfort.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, David Moore and Burton Moore Jr.; and one niece, Ashley Moore.
She was born in Chatham County, where she also attended school and graduated with the Northwood High School class of Nineteen seventy-three. She had three beautiful children whom she raised and loved dearly. Catherine also gave unconditional love to her nieces and nephews and made them all feel as if they were her extra children! She was a loving and genuine woman and she had a special bond with each and everyone of her loved ones.
She attended her early years at Staunton Memorial CME church in Pittsboro, NC. Later in life she made a religious conversion into a Jehovah's Witness where she attended the Kingdom Hall faithfully and was truly loved and accepted by the brothers and sisters of the hall.
She was a special woman and was loved by many. She fought a long hard battle and handled it like no other— keeping her faith in Jehovah and pushing on everyday in the journey. She will truly be missed, but the memories she imparted in us will live on forever in our hearts.
She leaves to cherish in her memory: two sons, Timothy Moore (Pittsboro), Jaspen Pratt (Greensboro); one daughter, Tameka Pratt of the home; two brothers, Chris Moore, and Earl Brooks, both of Pittsboro; one sister, Jennifer Brooks; two sisters in law, Ann Moore (Graham) and Marilyn Moore (Pittsboro); four grandchildren, Kelsey Moore, Kylee Moore, and Justice Cross all of Pittsboro and Ivory Pratt of Greensboro. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, who all looked to her like a second mother. As well as other relatives and friends who will always remember her living and endearing spirit.
