Carolyn Jean (McGee) McNeill

Ms. Carolyn Jean McNeill age 66 of Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Westfield Rehabilitation & Health Center.

Carolyn Jean McGee-McNeill was born June 1, 1955 in Lee County Hospital Sanford, NC to Margie Lee McGee “Coot” and June Martin “Big June”. She transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Carolyn was blessed with bonus parents, George “Nut” and Lillie Mae Stone Chesney and Odessa Rice Chesney.

Later in life, she met and married Edward McNeil. Carolyn was educated in the Lee County School System and worked several jobs in the Sanford Area. She was a member of St. Mark UCOG Church, Sanford, NC where she served on the Usher Board until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Margie and June; her bonus parents and her husband; two sisters Marice Alice and Jeanette.

Carolyn leaves to remember her memories; her three children, Kimberly Jackson Sanford, Kenneth McGee of Sanford, North Carolina, and Keith Chesney (La’Tomala) of Charlotte, NC; four brothers, Raymond of Baltimore, Ricky of Manhattan, NY, Joe Willie of Geneva, NY and Elder Bobby Clegg (Linda) of Sanford, NC; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

She will be remembered for her bright smile and her great personality.
