Branndon Ellis Trusell

Branndon Ellis Trusell (Toot) was born on August 2, 1981, in Orange County, NC. He transitioned to his eternal life on June 22, 2021, as he lay asleep at his home. Branndon grew up in Sanford NC, attending St Mark United Church of God in his early years. He earned his high school diploma at Lee County Senior High in 2000. Later taking courses at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford, NC. He was employed with Lee County Schools, where he served as the head custodian at WB Wicker Elementary. Branndon also owned and operated his own cleaning business, Sancity Cleaning Service in Sanford.

Banndon was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, brother, friend, and coach. He loved the game of basketball and loved coaching even more. Branndon began coaching in 2014. In 2018 he started his own organization, The Sancity Ballers, where he mentored dozens of children on the game of basketball, hard work, discipline, respect, and staying humble on and off the court. As an active member of the community, Branndon made sure to help any and everyone he could. His contagious smile, energy, love, and legacy of good works will live forever in the people he came in contact with.

He is preceded in death by his father Bishop Ellie McCormick; his brother William McCormick, and his maternal grandmother Lillie Trusell.

Forever cherishing his memories, Branndon leaves behind his wife, Juanita Trusell of Sanford; his children, Tyree Trusell of Greensboro, JJ Dalrymple, Kayla Brown (Montrell), and Katilyn Dalrymple all of Sanford; three grandchildren, Kaci Johnson, Legaci Johnson, and Issac Johnson all of Sanford; his parents, Charles and Javaline Raines of Sanford; his mother in law, Joyce Jordan of Sanford; father in law, James Ortega of New Jersey; his brother Pastor Jason Trusell (Danielle) of Sanford; his sisters, Shawn Trusell and Stephaine Trusell of Sanford; special brother, Daniel McNeill of Greensboro; special mother, Melanie McNeill of Sanford; one uncle, William Trusell (Margie) of Sanford; two aunts Margaret Trusell of Sanford, Nettie
Trusell of New York; nieces, Jocelyn Trusell and Mollie Trusell of Sanford, nephew; Charles Trusell and a host of other nieces and nephews and family.
