Mr. Brandon Lavon Norris I, age 43 of Sanford NC, transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at his residence.
Brandon Lavon Norris, 43, son of the late Vander Lee McLean and the late Pearl Adams Norris was born on December 14, 1977, in Sanford, NC. He departed this life suddenly in his home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
Brandon was known as "Von" and "Vito" to his family and friends, was a native of Sanford, NC. He attended Lee County Public Schools and continued his education at Central Carolina Community College where he learned a trade in Industrial Maintenance. He was employed at Dorman Technologies in Sanford, NC.
Von lived a full vibrant life. He was energetic, funny, lovable, and full of life. With his charismatic personality, he brought laughter to every room that he entered. People often said that Von was a comedian because he loved to make people laugh and put a smile on their faces. His hobbies included cooking on the grill and preparing home-cooked meals, singing and dancing to old-school music, fishing with his close friends, and attending/hosting social gatherings. To know Von was to love him. Everyone enjoyed his company and his meaningful presence in their lives.
Von was a great father to his two sons, Brandon and Markell. He enjoyed spending quality time with them and teaching them life lessons. They loved watching movies together and participating in outdoor activities. He devoted his life to ensure that his boys were active, well-rounded, and well taken care of.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons; Brandon Lavon Norris II and Markell Isaiah Norris (Sanford, NC). Grandmother, Mae Evelyn McLean (Sanford, NC); siblings Charles Edward Adams (Sanford, NC), Mark L. (Dawn) Norris (Houston, TX), and Rashida Renee Reives (Greensboro, NC); one special godbrother, Willie Hooker (Sanford, NC); maternal aunt/uncle, Irene Ray (Carthage, NC), Anthony Edwards (Sanford, NC); paternal aunts/uncles; Frances Clark (Sanford, NC), Dennis McLean (Sanford, NC), Denece Dunbar (Sanford, NC), and Diane Baker (Sanford, NC); a special goddaughter, Katlin Palmer (Charlotte, NC); a host of nieces and nephews; and a host of very special close friends, Teonj Adams (nephew), Randy Bush, Tamora Tollerson, Jason Bush, Lajuane Palmer, Eddie Griffin, and Richard Bush.
