The Obituary
It is with profound sadness, yet with hearts full of cherished memories, that we announce the passing of Beverly Denise Walker Jones, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Beverly peacefully departed this life on April 3, 2025. Born on November 24, 1962, to the late Katherine Fogle and Wilburt Wright Walker, Beverly was the cherished youngest of nine siblings.
Beverly's life journey took her across the United States in her younger years alongside her mother, eventually leading her to establish roots in Murray, Kentucky. She pursued her academic aspirations with dedication, completing her education at Murray State University.
A woman of deep empathy and a genuine love for humanity, Beverly possessed an exceptional affinity for the elderly. This passion was profoundly inspired by her experience in caring for her beloved mother during her illness. Beverly channeled this compassion into her work at Parkview Retirement Center, where she tirelessly radiated warmth and care to residents until her final days.
Beverly was a beacon of tranquility in any turbulent situation. Her innate ability to foster peace and offer solace was a remarkable gift, bringing comfort and light to those navigating life's challenges. Known for her extraordinary hugs, Beverly possessed a strength and grace that defined her as a true matriarch. She was a strong Black queen who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Beverly was preceded in death by her precious grandson, Master Kimari Sintrell Roseboro; her sister, Elma Kuykendoll; her brothers, Samuel Boston, Albert Boston, Timothy Boston, and Isadore Boston; and her parents, Katherine Fogle and Wilburt Wright Walker.
