Barry Michael James

Mr. Barry Michael James, age 64 of Sanford NC transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, October 25, 2021, at his residence.

Barry Michael James (BJ & Paint Man) was born July 6, 1957, to Hazel and Robert James. He departed this life on October 25, 2021, at home with family and friends.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1975. Since that day, he had a passion for painting. At one time you could walk around Sanford and see his artwork at West Lee, Lee Senior, and CCH. The one memory we will miss the most is hearing lovely stories of his younger days.

Barry leaves behind his loving partner of 32 years MaryAnn Lee; 4 daughters: Alisha James, Davenia Lee, Rosalyn Lee of Sanford, NC, and Sonya Davis of Broadway, NC. 2 sons-in-law: Joseph Smith of Sanford NC and Da'Quan Davis of Broadway NC. A brother Carlton James (Coylette) of Nevada. A sister Pamela Robertson. 16 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
