Barbara Lee Hill

Barbara Lee Hill  “Big Sister” was born March 19, 1957, to the late James Lewis and Helen Hill in Lee County, NC. She transitioned peacefully at SECU Hospice Home in Pittsboro, NC, on Saturday, June 25, 2022, supported by her daughter and family.

Barbara was known to many as "Big Sister" or "Aunt Biggie". She had a strong faith in God, and was well known and loved by many. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, James, and Helen Hill; her son, Michael Ray Hill; her brother, Robert Stevenson Hill; her sister, Maudie “Tinker” Hunter; brothers-in-law, David Fox, and Larry McAuley.

She leaves behind and cherishes her memories, her daughter, Veronica Hill; three sisters, Mildred Fox, Helen McAuley, and Barbara Lou Hill; one brother, James Hill Jr. all of Sanford, NC; four aunts, Mary Hill, Ines Fox, Betty Fox, and Ann Hill; one uncle, Theodore Hill of Newark, NJ; two grandchildren, Alexis Mackenzie and Michael Stevenson Lilly, both of Sanford, NC; special friends, Shelby Boyd and Steven Lilly; her home health aide, Neta Hamer and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
