Ashleigh Denise Jackson

“Ms. Ashleigh Denise Jackson” was born June 6, 1998, in Chapel Hill, NC to Rodney C. Jackson, Sr. and Sinatra L. Edwards. She departed this life on May 28, 2022.

“Ashleigh” attended school in Lee County, where she graduated from Lee Senior High School in 2016 and achieved her high school diploma. “Ashleigh” was very dedicated and a hard worker. Her 1st job was at Waffle House in Sanford, NC. She was currently employed at Caterpillar in Sanford, NC. She loved to shop and travel alongside her sisters.

“Ashleigh” was a very sweet, loving, caring, and independent young lady who never met a stranger. “Ashleigh” will truly be missed by all her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry Wayne Harrington, and Emma Jean Edwards, Robert and Juanita Jackson, Fredrick D. Johnson; her great grandparents, Wade Lee and Jannie Lee Harrington, her aunt, Carlita McIver "Birdy", and her favorite cousins, Tylisher Edwards, and Fredarius McIver “Champ.”

“Ashleigh’s” life was truly a blessing, she would walk in the room and light the room up with her bright smiles, and laughter. Her memories will forever be treasured by her loving family; mother: Sinatra Lashelle Edwards, father: Rodney C. Jackson, Sr.; grandmothers: Corine Edwards, and Shirley Jackson; grandfather: Charles Southerland; four sisters: Tamia Edwards, Andrea Jackson (twin), Rashida Jackson (Allen Bristow), and Raquel Buie; three brothers: Rodney Jackson, Ja’Corey Edwards, and Jody Scales all of Sanford, NC; her aunts: Portia Edwards (Kenneth Petty), Stephanie Harrington (Alfonzo), Shernita Jackson, Nece Jackson, and Harriet Burch; four uncles: Ronnie Berryman, Sherod Rodgers, Anthony Wilson (Candace), and Lintra Harrington; nieces: Lyla, Cassidy, Roziah, Kailey, and Kaitlyn; nephew Kartier Griffin; godparents: Travis Watson (Tonia), Clarence and Lavonne McCutchen; goddaughter: Jordyn McDougal; god siblings: Jr., Tre'Von Watson, Tiffany Watson, Jasmine McCutchen, Chasity, Ricarde McCutchen, Breanna “Bre”, and Clarencia McCutchen; great aunts: Helen Covington of Sanford, NC, Pastor Jessie Mims of Holly Springs, NC, Pam Hooker, Cheville Branch, Fannie Murphy, Betty Wright, Cherie Hampton, Teresa Davis, and Loretta Wright all of Sanford, NC; great uncles: David Jackson, Nelson Quick, Wade Harrington (Rev. Diane), Thurman Johnson (Min. Annie), Herman Johnson (Min. Ola), Carl Edwards (Pam), Ben Edwards (Phyllis), Wayne Edwards (Mary), Tommy Edwards, Jeff Edwards, and  Anthony Edwards (Debbie); a special friend, Ladeizjah McDougal of Sanford, NC; special cousins whom she were very close too: Shardae McIver, Tayana McIver, Kabreah Johnson “Bre”, Jamauri McIver “Mauri”, Jaylah McIver, Kedric Johnson “KJ”, “Ke-Key”, “Juicy”, “Bubbles”, Jaden McIver, Tyler Burch, Tiny Johnson,  Anthony Edwards “Jr.”, Diamond Evans, Aaron Baldwin “Pee Wee”, “MeMe” (Kendrick McLeod), Ashley Mellette, Lauren Baldwin, Rashaud, Tony, Wayne McKendall, and Summer Jackson; a very special friend whom she cherished so much, Ricky Tysor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
