Obituary

Anthony Toney Tuyon Holt Sr., was born to Francis Holt and James Butler on February 07, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York where he received his education. He transitioned to eternal rest on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Anthony was a kind man; he would help people out. He lived his life to the fullest and made friends wherever he went. Anthony worked at Wal-Mart for many years, and he went overseas as a contract worker.

Anthony and Jean shared parenting roles to eleven children and twenty grandchildren as his ex-wife and caregiver. Anthony and Jean had a wonderful friendship. Anthony and his family lived in Sanford, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Francis Holt; father, James Butler; adopted parents, Leslie and Nathaniel Coachman; one uncle, Fred Howard; two brothers, Jimmy Coachman and Junior Coachman; one sister, Sharon Butler; one son, Malcolm X Holt; one daughter, Tameka Linton; and one granddaughter, Tonie Susan Mitchell.

Anthony leaves to cherish his loving memory with his children; Alfred Holt, Ebony Goodson, Antoinette Holt, Anthony Holt Jr., Tanya Lawrence, Tawanna Holt, Katrina Holt, Iesha Holt, Makkeda Holt, and DaQu’an Holt; twenty grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Coachman, Brenda Coachman, and Marshalle Holt; eight brothers-in-law, Darren Duncan, Dwayne Duncan, Anthony Parsley, Elijah Boone, Corey White; ex father-in-law, Robert Parsley; five sisters-in-law, Adite Holt, Tiffany Harris, Monique Parsley, Benita Duncan, Terrie Boone; a special friend, Barbara Mitchell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
