Annie Delois Haith

Annie Cheek Haith, 90 of Siler City, NC passed away on July 25, 2026.  Annie was born on May 15, 1936, to the late Hayworth and Effie Cheek in Ramseur, NC.

 She was preceded in death by her husband James Haith, Sr.; parents: Hayworth and Effie Cheek; sister McCoy Gatherings, and brother Winfred Cheek. 

Annie is survived by her son James Haith (Alicia); grandchildren: Brandon and Maya Haith; great grandchildren: Alyvia, Kason, Londyn and Amaria; sister: Zula Matthews (Lonnie); brother-in-law: Johnnie Haith (Lealer); sisters-in-law: Joan Cheek and Yvonne Haith Whitmore. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. 

Annie was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend whose love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family touched the lives of many. She found great joy in caring for her home and took immense pride in creating and maintaining a beautiful yard, where she enjoyed spending countless hours working.  She dedicated 37 years of her life to the field of education, inspiring and nurturing generations of students throughout her teaching career. She concluded her distinguished career with Chatham County Schools after serving in several other school districts. A proud graduate of Winston Salem State University, she was deeply committed to learning and making a positive difference in the lives of others.  Her faith was the foundation of her life. One of her most significant moments in her spiritual journey was the baptism as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She faithfully attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, where she cherished her relationship with Jehovah and the fellowship of her spiritual family.  She also had a passion for traveling and treasured the opportunity to explore new places and creating lasting memories with those she loved. Her legacy of faith, compassion, service and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
