Ms. Amisty Chanel Simmons, age 40 of Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at her residence.

Amisty Simmons died outside of her childhood home on Tuesday, September 27,2022 in Sanford NC at the age of 40. She attended Zion Hill Church as a young girl. She re-dedicated her life to the Lord as an adult and lived each day trying to be a good person.
Amisty was born on August. 12. 1982 to Jasper and Willima Simmons. She attended Lee Senior High School and continued her education in adult sign language at CCCC. She was also skilled in decorating and organizing events. Amisty decorated and assisted in organizing the majority of family functions that took place right here. She lived with, built a life, and started a family with Anthony Seymore over 10 years ago. Amisty loved her family, going to cookouts, and having a good time. She will be most remembered for her big heart and the way she showed up for the people she loved. She was very much loved and appreciated by friends and family.
Amisty is survived by her children, Avri Bridges-Simmons and Le’am Seymore; parents, Deacon Jasper and Pastor Wilma Simmons; grandmother, Della Simmons; brother and Sister-in law, Leverne Ashley and Tanika Simmons; aunts, Emily Petty, Hazel Smith, Carolyn McNeill, Maggie Wren, Janette Blackmore, Deborah Simmons, and Sutie Simmons; cousins, Tiffany Bibbs, Odell Smith, Laniece Smith, Michael Wren, Ronald Wren, Jennifer Wren, Michelle Wren, Nick Simmons, Dana Simmons, Latoya Simmons, Sandy Simmons, Deanna Simmons, Jacqueline Simmons and Greg Simmons and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
