Aliyah Marie Smith

Ms. Aliyah Marie Smith, age 19 of Sanford, NC entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

Aliyah Marie Smith was born on November 4, 2003, to Laneice Smith and Brian Allen. She attended Lee County Schools. In 2022 she received her high school diploma from Lee County High School. Aliyah loved all types of dancing from ballet, hip hop, majorette, and praise dancing which was her favorite. Not only was she a part of many dance teams, but she also coached and taught several of their routines. Dancing was her passion and it showed through each performance. her lively soul shined on every child she worked with, leaving them with confidence, memories, and so much more.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lewis Smith.

Aliyah Smith is survived by her mother, Laneice Smith; father, Brian Allen; six siblings, Arian McIver, Ayesha McIver, Angel Smith, Quintoria Allen, Kaylan Haith, and Asia McIver; maternal grandmother, Hazel Smith; paternal grandparents, James and Julie Allen; two uncles, Odell Smith (Tanasha) and Ron Allen; one aunt, Shaunel Gilchrist; a niece, Legynn Thomas; and Goddaughter, Sai'anah Thompson; she also leaves a host of family, friends, and dance teams whom she loved.
