The Obituary
Akii Bilal Braddox, age 15, of Sanford, NC, entered eternal rest on September 2, 2025. Born on August 11, 2010, Akii was a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend whose light touched everyone he encountered.
Akii was a sophomore at Lee County High School, where he was known for his joyful spirit, sense of humor, and ability to bring laughter to any room. He was a proud teammate of the 14U Brick City Tigers. Beyond football, Akii loved drawing, playing video games, and spending time with his family, who were the center of his world. He will be remembered as a happy, playful, and loving young man who carried silliness and joy wherever he went. His bright personality was a blessing to those around him, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Shameka Dowdy and his great grandmother, Annie Hamer
