Timothy Lee Cherry

Timothy Lee Cherry, age 52 of 200 Cox Maddox Rd. Apt 3, Sanford, NC passed on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care, West End, NC. 

Mr. Timothy Lee Cherry was born March 26, 1966 to the late Fred Stowe and Geraldine Cherry in Sanford, North Carolina, On July 10, 2018 at 5:28am he departed this life at First Health Hospice Home in West End, North Carolina.

Tim received his early education in the public school system of Lee County, North Carolina. He was a caring man with a heart of gold. He was a outspoken and outgoing person that loved his family. He sang in the church choir and his favorite song was “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” that he lead in the choir. He also played drums for the church.

Tim worked at Hallman’s Foundry for several years, the Brickyard, construction and several car washes, which was his favorite hobby.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fred Cherry, Jr.

Tim leaves to cherish his memories, two sisters, Jackie R. Cherry and Wanda F. Cherry both of Sanford, NC; two nephews, DeCarlos Cherry and Christopher Blue both of Sanford, NC; two nieces, Kiana Cherry and Crystal Cherry both of Sanford, NC and six great nieces, Zaria, Ci’Niyah, Ja’Nasia, Zaiah, ZaRyiah and Imani all of Sanford, NC; two uncles, Samuel Hooper of Baltimore, MD and Lonnie Hooper of Sanford, NC; one special aunt, Katherine Hooper of Sanford, NC; one special cousin, Dwight Minter of Sanford, NC; a “special friend” Charlene Jones of Sanford, NC; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
