Sherry Juliet Baker

Sherry Juliet Baker, age 59 of 904 Amanda Dr., Sanford, NC passed on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her residence. 

Sherry Juliet Baker was born March 7, 1959 to Ms. Annie R. Baker and late Jimmy Louis Buie at Central Carolina Hospital,  Sanford, N.C.

Sherry Juliet Baker graduated from Lee Senior High School, Sanford, N.C.  She also furthered her education at CCCC in Secretarial Science, Financial Education Services and Nursing. She worked at Coty for over 15 years. She was a Car Salesperson for Sanford Honda,  Fred Anderson Toyota of Sanford.  Sherry then found joy in wanting to help others as an AFL Provider for Community Alternative Housing.  She began taking care of Bernard, whom she cared for as her own.

Sherry was a faithful member of New Generation Church where she served under the leadership of Pastor Phillip Watson. She was a proud member and loved inviting others to their services. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sonya Yvette Baker.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Michael Anthony Baker; her mother, Annie R. Baker; brothers, Anthony Tyrone Baker and James Buie, Jr.;  aunts, Anita Jeanett Henderson of Sanford, N.C. and Kathlene Baker; cousins, Tracy Redwine, Cathy McLaughlin, Kenneth Baker, Susan Baker, Delynda, Michael Hester, Johnathan Hester, and Carla James; nieces and nephews, Makeda and Gabbi; Ryan and Randy, and a host of extended sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and godchildren, Te’Ashia, Miya and Aaliyah and a host of  friends.
