Robert Nichols Robles Sr., age 67 of 8713 Peach Tree Dr. Sanford, NC passed on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Universal Healthcare  /Lillington, Lillington, NC. 

Robert Nichols Robles Sr. affectionately called “Butch” was born May 17, 1951 in New York City, the Bronx to Victor Robles of Puerto Rico and Melba Freytes of Florida. He departed this life on June 16, 2018 at Universal Healthcare in Lillington, North Carolina. 

“Butch” obtained his education in the New York City School System and joined the Marine Corps where he was unable to continue due to medical reasons.

He moved to Sanford, NC in the mid 70’s where he became heavily involved in coaching football and baseball after his sons became of age. Everyone knew him to be tough, but fair. He was a mentor and a father figure to many kids in the community. Some of these kids have grown up and love to tell stories of “Mr. Butch”. He loved all sports. He retired from Weyerhaeuser and worked for many years at the Carpet Discount Store in Sanford, NC.

Robert “Butch” leaves to cherish his loving memories: his children, Robert N. Robles Jr. (Jenny) of Sanford, NC, Roshon M. Robles (Yesica) of Sanford, NC and Jordan S. Robles of the home; his siblings: Victor Robles (Gina) of New Jersey, Angela Robles of Arkansas, Lulu Bamber of North Carolina, and Salvador Freytes (Noemi) of Florida; grandchildren: Tye Jones, Miguel Caldwell, Jadelyn Robles, Shamon Newby, Kalaab Robles, Brook Robles, Yesenia Robles, Izabella Foushee and Brentley Foushee and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
