Robert Knight

Robert Knight, age 73 of 1252 Hooker St., Sanford, NC passed on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation Center. 

Robert Lee Knight, AKA “Little Wolf” son of the late James Wesley McDonald and Thelma Knight TaBon was born on January 11, 1945 in Sanford, North Carolina.  He departed this earthly life on August 24, 2018 for eternal rest at the Sanford Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Bobby AKA “Little Wolf” as he was affectionately called joined Pine Ridge Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Larry Siler, shortly after returning home from Philadelphia, Pa.  He was educated in Lee County schools.

Bobby enjoyed cooking and serving soul food to the delight of his family and friends.  He was a talented carpenter - home improvement and refinishing antique pieces was his passion.  When anything failed to function in our homes, he would drop by to fix it.  He was always willing and ready to give a helping hand and prescribe home remedies for whatever ailed you.

Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved parents, grandparents, aunts, uncle, three brothers: Larry TaBon, Eugene Knight and Charles Knight and his favorite cousin, John “JJ” Johnson.

Bobby leaves to cherish his memory:  brothers, Edgar and Marie TaBon of Sumter, S.C., David and Mary of Philadelphia, Pa.; cousin (also like his sister) Ruby Womack; a special friend, Nicole Ortega; a very special uncle, James Knight; cousins, Betty Aggerup, Grace Taylor and Walter Johnson, all of Sanford, N.C.  and a host of relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Ruby Womack at 910 Tryon St., Sanford, NC.
