Richard V. Tabon, age 33 of 1001 Windrace Trl., Sanford, NC passed on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Central Carolina Hospital.
Richard Tabon was born on February 2, 1985 and gained his wings on December 11, 2018.
Richard had a “Heart of Gold” and a mouth of a sailor. He would love you and fuss you out all at the same time. Some thought Richard was mean, not knowing his meanness was nothing but love. Even though Richard was something else, he was very caring, respectful and honest. He was a persuasive son, a compassionate grandson, and an overprotective little/big brother. Richard had two nieces and two nephews that he loved as his own. They would describe him as a “keeping it real, motivational, and aggravating” uncle. Richard was a fighter. He fought all of his life. He fought more for the people he loved than he fought for himself. Richard really lived a full life and was loved by many. He would always say, “Richard is a cat because has had nine lives.” He loved family and bring us together to have fun, chilling and enjoying each other. Joking and hanging out with family made his day.
In Richard’s healthier and younger days, he was a star football player and an active baseball and basketball player. Richard fought a good fight but he was tired. Richard leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Darlene T. Adams; his father, David Adams Jr.; his biological father, James Steadman; grandmother, Edith P. Huff; sister, Edith “Dee” Tabon; half-sister, Liz Steadman; two brothers, Victor Dwayne Tabon and James Tony Tabon; half brother, Emmanuel Steadman; two special nieces, Marie Boyd and Miracle Tabon; two special nephews, William Hayes and Kandon Tabon; close cousins, Princeton Tabon, Stacy Brown, and Demario Tabon; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends at the home of his family in Carolina Trace, Sanford; upon arrival at the gate give family name Adams to security.
