Rhonda Lynelle McComb

Rhonda Lynelle McComb, age 51 of 352 W. Forest Oaks Dr., Sanford, NC passed on Monday, August 6, 2018.

Rhonda Lynelle Dowdy McComb was born on March 17, 1967 to Ronell and Loretta Judd Dowdy. She transitioned this life on August 6, 2018. She answered her heavenly Father’s call; well-done thy good and faithful servant.

Rhonda was a devoted and loving daughter, god-mother and friend. She had an outgoing personality. She always greeted you with a smile. Rhonda was the type of person that was always there for you if you needed her.

She graduated from Lee Senior High School, Sanford NC and attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington and St. Augustine College, Raleigh, NC. She worked in the medical field as a CNA. She sung in the community choir. She was a great pianist, typist and singer. Rhonda had a caring and loving spirit with the young as well as the elderly. Most of all she was a “daddy’s girl”.

Rhonda joined Works For Christ Christian Center under the leadership of Drs. Lewis and Alice Hooker. She loved her church, her pastors and singing in the choir. She was a faithful member until her passing and will truly be missed.

Rhonda was a devoted member of THA TEAM SC (Social Club) where she was the Event Coordinator. SHE WAS A PROUD MEMBER.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her husband, Damphier McComb.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her father, Ronell E. Dowdy; her mother, Loretta J. Dowdy; two brothers, Darius L. Dowdy and Darrell V. Dowdy; one god-daughter, Ci'niyah Smith; one godson, Brandon Mathews; one niece, MaKayla; one nephew, Jayden; three aunts, Doris French, Shirley Davis (Joseph), and Judy Alston (Johnnie); three great aunts, Mrs. Helen McIver, Frances Quick and Willis Thomas; three great uncles, Hubert & Herbert and Charles Covington and host of other relatives and friends.
