Mr. Rasheed Marquese Gillard, 27 of 475 Eisler Rd., Lillington, NC, passed on Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Sanford, NC.

Ra’sheed Marquese Quented Allen Gillard aka “Man” was born on August 31, 1990 in Sanford, NC to Sonya Allen Jones and Henry Rufus Gillard Jr. He departed his life on Saturday, October 7, 2017.

Rasheed attended Overhills High School. While attending school he was an A& B Student. Rasheed was a very smart young man. He would always say “A Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Waste”. He was not a member of a church but when he attended he enjoyed and learned from it.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Emma Gillard; grandfather, Thurman Allen, Roosevelt Donaldson and uncle, Derby Allen.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  three sons, Tyone Bright, Kayden Bland and Davian Smith all of Sanford, NC;  his  mother, Sonya Allen Jones (Roy) of Sanford, NC; his father, Henry Rufus Gillard Jr. of Sanford, NC;  four sisters, Shereece Allen, Kiona Williams, Destynee Murchison and Asia Minter all of Sanford, NC; six brothers, Raekwon Martin, Timothy McLean, Quintin McLean, Antonio Gillard, Brandon Griffin and Maurice Moore all of Sanford, NC; grandmother, Josephine Allen, grandfather, Henry Rufus Gillard, Sr. all of Sanford, NC; aunts, Pat McLean of Sanford, NC; Cathy Hooper of Sanford, NC ; Regina Allen (Richard) of Sanford, NC; Jacqueline Thompson; nieces, Kaliyah Williams and A’layah Murchison; special cousins, Cedric McAuley, Shune McAuley, Sonota McLean, Jamale Allen, Derricca Allen, Atbia Allen, Quintae McLean, Keith Wimbley, Alcia McAuley, Sana McAuley, Omar McAuley, Dirrell McAuley, Tamieka Petty all of Sanford, NC; god mother, Bertha Campbell of Lillington, NC; Mary Ann Wright of Sanford, NC; god father, Jerome Johnson of Sanford, NC; god sister, Angelikah McDougal of Lillington, NC; very special friends, Terrance Cameron, Chris Allen, Jontrell Wilson, Demetrius Snipes,  Kendra Snipes, Tiandra McNeill all of Sanford, NC; he also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
