Peggy L. Murchison

Peggy L. Murchison, age 63 of 1438 O'Quinn Rd., Sanford, NC passed on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC. 

Peggy Lee Murchison was born on May 30, 1954 in Lee County to Everette Dorsett and the Alice M. Tuck.  She departed this life on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at UNC Hospital Chapel Hill.

Peggy was a loving sweet lady, anyone who came in contact with her loved her. She had a heart of gold; she would give you the shirt off her back. She took pride in her family and set high standards for all of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Peggy was most definitely the glue to the Murchison family. If you needed anything, she’d make it her best interest to comfort you whether it was food, love, somewhere to lay your head or even just to vent. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice M. Tuck, daughter, Tanisha Murchison, sister, Barbara “Sas” Covington; brothers, Michael “EB” Dorsett, Jerry Murchison, Stacy Tuck, Everette Dorsett Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children: Sharon Murchison Grier, Tracey Murchison (Monica), Alisa Murchison, Nathaniel Murchison (Sherry) and her adopted son, Jeremy McKeithan; brothers, Terry Murchison, Jimmy Murchison (Paula), David Dorsett (Darlene); sisters, Phyllis Dorsett, Marcia Neal (Ronald), Vicky Gainey, Linda Sydnor, Gwen Dorsett; grandchildren, Timothy, Anthony, and Brandi Grier, Kobe and Janasia Tucker, Alize Murchison, David Morrison, Israel, Isaiah Williams, Sade’ Byrd (Antonio); six great grandchildren; special niece, Nece Jackson, brother-in-law, Larry “Grit” Covington; one special friend like a sister, Tracey Woods and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
