Paula Cameron Wrenn

Paula Cameron Wrenn, age 55 of 714 W. Williams St. passed on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC.

Paula Cameron Wrenn was born April 10, 1963 in Lee County, NC to the late Joseph Cameron and Alma D. Small Cameron. She departed this life on Saturday morning, August 4, 2018 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

Paula joined Chestnut AME Zion Church at an early age where she sang in the gospel choir. She later moved her membership to Works For Christ Christian Center until her passing.

She graduated from Lee County Senior High School in 1981. She attended Sandhills Community College. She worked at Sanford Health and Rehab (formerly Convalescent Care of Lee County), Keller’s Oakhaven Retirement home for 19 years, Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 17 years. She also worked for Parkview Rest and Retirement and Mary H. Finch Total Care for several years.

Paula was a God-fearing woman; “A Pure Jewel”. Her personality was contagious and she always carried a smile on her face. She was a quiet, yet a reserved woman and she loved her family unconditionally.

In 2000 she married Michael Wrenn. They’ve always maintained a good friendship throughout the years.

Paula was preceded in death by her mother and father.

She leaves to celebrate and cherish her beautiful life: her daughter, Patrice Murchison of Sanford, NC; her son, Tyrone Murchison of the home; a granddaughter, Kayla Murchison; two sisters, Angela Jenkins of Sanford, NC and Cheryl Cameron of Sanford, NC; six nephews: Carlos Jenkins (Kendra), Antoine Cameron (Jamese), Derome Jenkins (Raquel), Niquan Smith and Darius Cameron; one neice, Cherrelle Smith; two great nephews,  Ja’Zharion Smith and Antoine Cameron Jr.; four great nieces, Makelia Jenkins, Janiyah Cameron, Avieanna Hammonds and Ci’Niyah Smith; a special cousin, raised as her sister, Emma McNeill; and a special friend, Julia Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.
