Ms. Mary D. Foxx of 269 Milton Marsh Rd., Bear Creek, NC passed on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Laurels of Chatham, Pittsboro, NC.

Mary D. Foxx, daughter of the late Obie and Beatrice Marsh was born on January 13, 1947 in Chatham County, NC. She departed this life on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro.

Mary was a native of Chatham County where she was educated in Chatham County Schools. She was a member of Centennial AME Zion Church where she was a faithful member until her health declined.  No matter what she went through, she never lost her faith in God. Mary loved listening to gospel music, drawing, coloring, and working in her flower garden.  She was well known for building bird houses and giving them away to all she loved.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Obie and Beatrice Marsh and one sister, Mary Alice Goldston.

 Mary leaves to cherish her memories: her sister, Annie Marsh, Stella Tysor, Josephine Neal (Rev. Willard Neal Jr.) of Bear Creek, NC and Crissy Farrar of Siler City, NC; brothers, Obie Marsh Jr. of Bear Creek, NC, Leroy Marsh of Siler City and William E. Marsh (Nancy) of Polkton, NC; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Foxx and Lorraine Foxx; one brother-in-law, Bobby Tysor; a special niece, Georgiana Vargas whom loved and helped to care for Mary. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
