Mary Maxine Amerson

Ms. Mary Maxine Amerson, age 72 of 158 Sweetwater Dr., Broadway, NC passed on September 15, 2017 at Central Carolina Hospital Sanford, NC.

Mary Maxine Amerson affectionately known as “Mae” was born on August 28, 1945 in Harnett County to the late Luverta Amerson. She received her eternal wings on September 15, 2017 at Central Carolina Hospital Sanford, NC.

Maxine joined Williams Chapel at an early age and was a faithful member until her health declined. She was loved by many and she loved her family. She was very independent and loved to cook.

Maxine was preceded in death by her mother, Luverta Amerson;  brother, Ralph Amerson; grandfather, Adolf Amerson Sr.;  a loving aunt, Iodess Chalmers, whom raised her as her own; Robert Amerson, William Amerson and Adolph Amerson, Jr.

Maxine leaves to cherish her memories of love: two sons, Conrad Amerson of Sanford, NC and Lorne Amerson of Tell City, Indiana; one daughter, Cebrina Amerson of the home; three sisters, Raline Buie of Broadway, NC, Annie Pearl McDougald of Fayetteville, NC and Sue Chalmers  Wilson of Sanford, NC; two brothers, Quinton Amerson (Valjean) of Johnsonville, NC  and Sinclair Chalmers (Marcie) of Sanford, NC; nine grandchildren: Lorne Amerson Jr., Johnathen Amerson, Kayla Amerson, Tioma Amerson, Destiny Amerson, Legacy Amerson, Dynasty Gilmore, Arianna Amerson and Arira Amerson; two great grandchildren, Kobie Amerson and Jayceion Amerson; one uncle, Murreace Amerson (Callie); two special cousins, Jospeph Amerson and Tim Amerson; a loving friend of 22 years, Richard Brower of the home and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
