Marion Frances (Buchanon) Pearson

Marion Frances Pearson, age 72 of 413 San Lee Dr., Sanford, NC passed on Friday, January 10, 2010 at her residence.

Marion Frances Buchanon was born October 9, 1947, to the late Eugene and Edith Dunlap Buchanon. She graduated from Henry Grove High school in 1965. She worked as a wood supply clerk at Willamette Pine for 34 years.

“Frances,” as she was affectionately called, married Russell Pearson on July 26, 1985. Frances was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was a member of the choir, she served on the kitchen committee, usher board, and was a valued Sunday School teacher and a Deaconess.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Jesse Buchanon, James Buchanon, and Kenneth Buchanon; two sisters, Rosa Buchanon Lowery and Betty Buchanon Cox.

Surviving to cherish her memories are her beloved husband, Russell Pearson; two step-daughters, Sonya Pearson Branch (Patrick); and Shauna Pearson (James); grandchildren, Jarrod,  Jerrel, Chyna, Tyrese, Jayla, Taniya; two deceased grandchildren, Rodney and Traci Jones; her brothers, Rev. Fred T. Dunlap Sr. (Mary) and Horace Buchanon and one sister, Gloria Buchanon; one brother in law, Bobby Pearson (Dawn); three sisters in law, Glendoria Kellum, Annette Johnson (Rufus), Patricia Gallman (Wayne), and Wendy Lawrence; three special nieces, April Archie, Kristen Archie, and Monica Archie, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
