Margaret Walden

Mrs. Margaret Walden, age 88 of 6627 Old Hwy 421 S. Bear Creek, NC passed on Tuesday, January, 21, 2020 at her residence.

Margaret  Marsh Walden was born November 21, 1931 to late Colonel John Marsh and Essie Cheek Thompson.

Margaret was educated in Chatham County and was a graduate of Goldston Colored High School. She furthered her education and became a Certified Nursing Assistant III. Her love and dedication for caretaking allowed her to work as a caregiver for over 30 years.

She joined Centennial at a young age. April 17, 1965 Margaret married General Herbert Walden.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Michael Wayne Marsh and granddaughter, Corissa Person.

Mother Margaret leaves to cherish in loving memory: her daughter and caregiver, Vera Siler; son, Tony Marsh (Christine); daughters, Angela Walden Cotton (Warren) and Beverly Walden; four grandchildren: Jada Walden, Montaeo, Nautica and Makizah Cotton; two great granddaughters: Asia Person and A’Nya Johnson; one aunt: Selma B. Campbell; special cousin/ niece, Ursula “Me Me” Tysor, special friend and class leader, Sharon L. Nettles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
