Linda Lane Dowdy

Linda Lane Dowdy, age 68 of 71 Highfield Ln., Broadway, NC passed on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at her residence. 

Linda Lane Dowdy was born to the late Albert Frank Dowdy and Elma A. Dowdy on June 13, 1950 in Angier, NC. She went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2018.

Linda attended Boone Trail Elementary and Shawtown Middle Schools and continued her education at Central Carolina Community College.  She was employed at Coty, Inc. and Tyson Mexican Original for 15 years. Linda was a very kind hearted person; helping everyone that she could. She enjoyed sewing and most of all being a caregiver to many.  Linda was a faithful member of Cameron Grove AME Zion Church where she received the Distinguished Door Keeper Award. She was an original member of the Faithful Stars Choir, and she sang with the Gospel and Mass Choirs.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, James Ernest and Grover Cleveland.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and faithful daughters, Donna M. McIver and Pamela Michelle McIver; her grandson, Justin Omari Warren Thompson; siblings, Willie, Wanda (Ernest) Tony, Johnnie, Carolyn, Janie, and Michael (Vergie); nieces: Karen, Renee, Sarah Ann, Donna Ann, Tammy, Sharon and Laura Ann; great nieces: Donnisha, Tamisha, Sharmaine, Auyanna, Sariah and Kyla; great great niece: Kailese; nephews: James Donald, David William (ED), great nephews: Deonte’, Justin, Marcus, Davian, Devin, and Patrick; great great nephew, Landon; special friends, Sharri Keen, Peggy Cox, Stella Lawrence, and Jonathan; special neighbors: Robert and Kat, Rubiela Morrison and Papa Cholo, Diane and Thomas. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
