Katrina Jeannette Lassiter, age 43 of 1110 Walden St., Sanford, NC passed on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Central Carolina Hospital.

Your Wings Were Ready But Our Hearts Were Not….

Katrina Jeannette Lassiter, was born March 27, 1976 in Orange County to Raymond Lassiter and Mary Norman. Jeannette slipped away in the early morning hours of May 27, 2019 to a building not made by man’s hands.

Jeannette received her education at Chatham County Schools at an early age she joined Liberty Chapel Church. Later she joined New Generation under the leadership of Pastor Philip and Lady Angela Watson.

Jeanette worked various jobs throughout her life.  She was a loving and caring person.  She always had a story to tell and would give you a good laugh.  She would open up her home to  anyone.  She loved to cook, with Pasta Salad being her famous dish for many functions.

Some knew her as Jeannette, Jenny, Jenny Mae and even Trina, but everyone knew her as a friend. She was a Facebook queen and would let you know the good, the bad and the ugly, with her favorite saying, “Whoo child I’m devastated.”  If you were looking for Jeannette, you could find her at the Internet Café, she loved to “click.”

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Bertha Goldston and Mamie Lassiter-Atwater, one sister, Amelia Lassiter and brother, Benjamin Shelvin Jr.

Her most fond memories are left to two daughters, Taneesha Judd of New Hill and Ariel Garcia, of the home; one son, Damien Davis Jr. of the home; three step sons, Zaleak Jones, Zakari Jones and Dy’Shawn Davis of Marion, SC; her mother, Mary Norman and stepfather, Benjamin Shelvin, Sr.; father, Raymond Lassiter of Carthage, NC; five brothers, Johnny “Mac” Norman (LaQuanda) of Moncure, NC, Perry Norman of Sanford, NC, Brian Shelvin of Broadway, NC, Desmond Brewington of Charlotte, NC, and Alfred McLaurin of Zebulon, NC;  four sisters, Charonda Shelvin of Broadway, Danita Lee (Timothy) and Barbara Sutton (Rodderick)of Spring Lake, NC, Latesha Lindsey (Terrell) of Dunn, NC; godmother, Barbara Lassiter of Moncure, NC; adopted sister, Darlene Taylor (William) of Cameron, NC; adopted family, Shante McIver, Bentley and Brayden Taylor;  special friends, Damien  Davis Sr., Doug Ford, Min. Angela Watson, Min. Veronica Ingram, LaShonda Lassiter and Brenda Nobles; several god brothers, god sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
