Kamariya Shayla Marie Long

Kamariya Shayla Marie Long age 5, of 116 Char-Lin Drive Sanford, NC passed on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford.

Kamariya Shayla Marie Long was born on January 9, 2012 to Timothy Long and Chasity Petty. Our little angel departed this world on August 30, 2017.

“Ka” as she was affectionately called was full of joy and laughter. She would bring a smile to your face just by her presence.

Kamariya was starting her education in the Lee County School System where she was enrolled to start kindergarten on Friday, September 1. She was beyond “excited” to start school. Kamariya was a very smart little girl who would make you smile even on your worse day.

Kamariya leaves to cherish her fond memories: her mother, Chasity Petty; father, Timothy Long (Alexis); her brothers, Timothy Jr. “TJ”, Jaylen and Logan; her sisters, Treasure and Maaliyah; her grandparents, Elsie and Johnny Petty, Joyce McNeill, Charlotte and Shurby Long; uncles, Jovon “Trell” Petty, Seth, and Isaiah; aunts, Neacosha Headen, Shannon Long, Janelle Long and Brandi Grier; a special mother, Tiffany; special sister, Kanae;  godmother, Shamica Ray; her me-ma, Lisa Cox-McLeod and her pa-pa, Charles McLeod whom she loved dearly; great grandmother, Wanda  Forrester; eleven great aunts, eight great uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
