Jessie Bell Bristow Goodall transitioned to her heavenly home on Jan 18, 2020, at Westfield Rehabilitation Center. Sunrise on June 17, 1931, to the late Archie and Larah Bristow of Sanford, NC.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Sandy McNeill and Charles Goodall of Cleveland, OH.
She was educated in the Lee County Training School Era. She joined Fair Promise AME Zion Church at an early age and later joined the Lee Memorial AME Zion Church in Cleveland, OH. She became a member of the Eastern Star, Lay Council, Missionary Mass, and The Minute Women.
Ms. Jessie Goodall, also known as Ms. Tina, had a great sense of style and fashion. She loved shopping with her sister Mary Bristow. When the two of them got together they shopped till they dropped. She also loved the down-home blues and was a member of a line dancing group. Anytime there was a line dance going on, she was sure to take part and show off her rhythm and know-how. She also loved casinos and 1000-piece puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth Murphy, Staley Watson, and George Harold Watson.
Ms. Jessie Goodall leaves to cherish her memories six children: Larah Lavaughn Andrus of Sanford, NC, Janice Whitten of Phenix City, AL, Rev. John McNeill (Georgia) of Cameron, NC, Vanessa Jackson of Columbus, Ga, Terry "Tap" McNeill (Andrea) of Sanford, NC and Steffin Michial McNeill of Alexandria, VA; one sister, Mary Francis Bristow; one brother, General Samuel Bristow, nine grandchildren: Kelvin Kelly, Monica Trice, Melvin Whitten, Johnathan McNeill, Christopher McNeill, Kimberly Jones, Christopher Jackson, Terika Sims, Terry McNeill Jr., and Tanetra McNeill; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
