Jennifer Dietz, age 59 of 106 Mara Ln. Carthage, NC passed on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care, Pinehurst, NC.

Jennifer McLeod Davis Dietz passed away on Sunday, February, 24, 2019 at First Health Hospice and Palliative Care.

There will be a memorial for her on March 9, at 1:30,  Mt Carmel Methodist Church, 3925 Old Carthage Road, Carthage, NC.

Jenny was a sweet, kind and humble lady with just enough edge that made her lots of fun.

After school she moved to FL and lived many years. This is where she met her future husband, Jessie Dietz.

While in FL she worked in the restaurant business in the evenings, that left her lots of daytime to do what she loved best, to be on the beach basking in the sun.

Not long after returning to Moore County, she and Jessie received their most precious gift, their son, Sam. As the old saying goes, he was the apple of their eye.

Jen had just gotten her 20 year employment certificate in December 2018 from First Health Hospital.

Her love of the sun continued in NC, on her back deck with friends.  Some of her most favorite times was when Sam’s friends

would end up at her house and there inevitably would be a cookout or some type of food for them.

She considered his friends her sons also.

After her husband Jessie became disabled, she was his loyal advocator and caregiver until his passing.

Jen loved "The Walking Dead", Negan being her favorite character. Friends gave her posters of him, and one even made her a “Lucille”.

Fellow TWD viewers will understand this. 

One of Jen’s favorite places to go was Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care.

Jenny is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Dietz, her father and mother, John and Ariel Davis, her brother, Gandhi Davis, her nephew Ben Dowd, and her brother in law, Buddy Presley.

She is survived by her son, Sam McLeod Dietz, of Carthage, her sister Tara Dowd (Neil) of West End, her sister Dixie Presley, of Carthage, her special sister, Joyce Yarman, of FL, and many nieces, nephews,  great nieces, great nephews, and one great great nephew
