James Taylor Obituary

Mr. James Davis Taylor, age 69 of 330 E. Alston Street, Pittsboro, NC passed on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Veterans Affairs Medical Hospice Care in Durham, NC.

Mr. James “JD” Taylor, the son of the late Mrs. Arzalia Nettles Taylor and Mr. Jim D. Taylor was born on May 16,1949 in Pittsboro, North Carolina. He transitioned on April 26, 2019 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Hospice Care in Durham, NC.  James fulfilled the completion of his earthly duties only to begin his heavenly dwelling with Almighty God. 

James joined Mitchell Chapel Church at an early age. He graduated from Horton High School in Pittsboro, NC. He later joined the US Army receiving an Honorable Discharge.  He was an avid NC State, Dallas Cowboy and NASCAR racing fan.  

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Jermaine “Tim” Moore; two grandchildren, Kelsey & Kylee Moore of Pittsboro, NC; Father, Jim “JD” Taylor of Pittsboro, NC; three sisters, Shirley Taylor-Edwards (Ted), Sylvia Townsend (Howard), Cathy Taylor of Pittsboro, NC; two brothers, Michael Taylor of Pittsboro, NC  and Cedric Taylor of Durham, NC; one aunt Faye Taylor-Crump, Yonkers, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
