James Howard Everett

James Howard Everett, age 73 of 5949 Lower Moncure Rd., Sanford, NC passed on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at his residence. 

James Howard Everett “Chief” was born in Brunswick County on August 10, 1945 to the late Sadie Bell and Archie Everett.

He was a hardworking, dedicated man that was always willing to help anyone that he could. He loved traveling to the beach. He loved to go fishing and he would always say to any that he met “Hey Buddy Buddy”. James was a person of a few words and didn’t have much to say.

He was a member of Christ Church of Deliverance for many years and later attended New Generation Church. He worked at Lee Iron and Metal for 30 plus years and was faithful to his job.

James was preceded in death by his son, David Everette; his parents, Sadie and Archie Everett; two brothers, Melvin Everett and Lawerence Everette and a sister, Eallard Ballard.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Regina L. Everett; his children, Pastor John Howard Everett (Iris) of Angier, NC, Pastor William Everett of Durham, NC, Garret Chalmers of Southern Pines, NC, Mareese Lindsey of Sanford, NC, Casca Lindsey, Ceira Lindsey, Alison Perry, Unque Moore, all of the home; one brother, William Everett (Teresa); sister, Essie Bethel (Athelston) of Leland, NC; grandchildren: Garrett J. and Jasmine Chalmers, Davon Everett, Jayden Everett, Jordan Everett, Alliyah and Carrington Everett; five brother-in-laws; four sisters-in-law; godchildren: Jarion, Juviere Goldston and Lebron Partridge and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
