His Life
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (KJV, Ecclesiastes 3:1)
A Time To Be Born…
James Earl Craig was born on February 25, 1961, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to Robert Craig and the late Ada Mitchell Craig.
A Time To Plant…
The early vines of James’ life were rooted in the public schools of Orange County. He was a member of the Chapel Hill Senior High School Class of 1981. As his roots began to grow, he joined the U.S. Naval Reserve.
A Time to Laugh…
James Earl was known for his generously hearty laugh. His laugh started from his belly and vibrated outward through his vocal cords. He was a very sociable person and it was always easy to tell when he was near.
A Time to Work…
James was a self-employed painting contractor for many years. Quality Painters was the name of his business and quality is what he gave his customers. He always put over 100% effort into his craft.
A Time to Rest…
James Earl Craig transitioned into eternal rest, Saturday, December 16, 2017, at the age of 56. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Mitchell Craig; and by his brother, Jeffrey Craig.
A Time to Love…
James leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Jasmine Craig and his granddaughters, Lauren Barrier, Madison Gill, and Paris Gill all of Salisbury, NC; his father, Robert Craig and his brother, Anthony Craig (Maria) of Chapel Hill; very special friends, Laura Hayes Moody and Steven Hutzler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
