J. Cameron Marshall

J. Cameron Marshall, age 38 of 1104 Crest St., Sanford, NC passed on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

Jasper Cameron Marshall, born August 31,1980, was the only son of Jasper Watts Marshall and the late Gwendolyn Cameron Marshall.  Affectionately known as “Cam”, Cameron went to rest with the angels on April 9, 2019.

Cameron graduated from Lee County Senior High School and was a proud member of the Class of 1998.  During his time in high school, he played football and wrestled. Cameron was employed as a Field Technician for Grid One.

Cameron was an avid sports fan, and everyone knew that his favorite teams were the UNC Tarheels and the Dallas Cowboys.  He coached football for the Sanford Sting and basketball for the Carolina Hawks.

Cameron was a member of Fair Promise A.M.E. Zion Church. Cameron was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. Family was always his most important priority. His favorite number was 5.

Cameron is survived by his only child, Jayden Carron Marshall, of Sanford; his Father, Jasper Marshall, of Sanford; two sisters, Louise Baldwin (Stanley) of Greensboro and Katina Marshall of Greensboro; three nephews, Ketrell Marshall (Janee) of Charlotte, De’Eric Baldwin (Cindy) of Greensboro and Diante’ Baldwin of Greensboro; and one niece, Nemiah Ingram, of Greensboro. He leaves behind one Aunt, Barbara McPhatter, of Chapel Hill, and two great nieces as well as a host of cousins, family and friends.
