Henry Franklin Murchison

Henry Franklin Murchison, age 58 of 10 Mobile Lane, Sanford, NC passed on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his residence. 

Henry Franklin Murchison better known as Frank or “Fingerroll” was born January 10, 1960 to Dorothy and the late Lemuel Murchison. 

Frank attended Lee County High School, Class of 1978.

Upon graduation from high school, Frank enlisted himself to serve his country: Army 1978-1982 and  Army Reserves 1984-1989.  After that he entered the workforce and was a long time employee of Arauco better known as Weyerhauser until he retired in January 2017.

Frank was well-known and a friend to all. He loved to talk.  He loved to help. He liked to have fun and enjoy life. He loved basketball and would often go watch the young guys play. He was a diehard Carolina Fan, Go Heels!  He was so excited about retirement and the opportunity to get to travel more and spend time with his daughter, grandson and family.  More than anything Frank loved all of his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Lemuel Murchison; paternal grandparents George and Winnie Murchison and maternal grandparents Issac and Idonia Howard.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Te-Nisha L. McKendall;  grandson, Liam G. McKendall; mother, Dorothy Murchison all of Sanford, NC; two brothers;: Clarence Howard of Sanford, NC and Lemuel Murchison (Doloris) of Clearwater, FL; four sisters: Patricia Edmonds (Wilbur), Brenda Garrett both of Sanford, NC, Debra Davis of Lillington NC, Dorothy Newby (Henry) and Carolyn Bromell (Robert) both of Sanford NC, and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive family and friends at 1110 Kentyrewood Farm Road, Sanford, NC
