Harold McCrimmon Obituary

Harold Leonard McCrimmon, age 72 of 91 Ramsey Court., Cameron, NC passed on Monday December 16, 2019 at Westfield Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Monday, December 16, 2019 at Westfield Rehabilitation Center, God whispered quietly to Harold Leonard McCrimmon, better known as  “Big Guy”, to come home and rest.  Harold peacefully answered and quietly departed from mortality to immortality. He was born July 13, 1947 to the late Kennie Leroy and Rev. Addie McGregory McCrimmon.

Harold L. McCrimmon known as “Big Guy” and “Mac” attended public school in Moore County and attended college attended college at Durham Business College.  After business college “Mac” joined the United States Army. He was a Vietnam Vet who served with distinguish, which  he received 3 Medal Badges of Commendations and Citations: A National Defense Service Medal, A Vietnam Service Medal and A Vietnam Campaign Medal and Educational and Training completed and Basic Training Code of Conduct Tactical Como Crewman Lineman.

Harold L. McCrimmon “Big Guy” married Nancy Rives on January 1, 1998. He was a loving and devoted husband for 21 years until his passing on December  16, 2019.  He was a loving father of one son and three stepchildren. Harold was a faithful member of St. Luke UCC in Goldston until his health failed, but through his illness he kept the Faith.

Preceding Harold in death were his: father, Kennie Leroy McCrimmon; sister, Eva McCrimmon Stroud, and brothers, Roy Randolph and Harvey Owens McCrimmon.

Harold L. McCrimmon is survived by, his Loving wife, Nancy R. McCrimmon; his Mother, Addie McGregory McCrimmon; one son, Greg Wengler; three step children: Tina (Dwight), Tanya and Rayvon (Tahisia); six grandchildren and one great grandchild; sister, Gracie M. Williams (Wayburn); brother, Richard McCrimmon Sr.; aunt: Arnette Gore and adored by numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Margaret Mabi at the Sanford VA for her exceptional care and much love she showed him.
