Garland Nathaniel Green Jr.

Garland Green age 65 of 140 Jack Austin Rd., Pittsboro, NC passed on Monday, December 24, 2018 at UNC Hospice House, Pittsboro, NC. 

Garland Nathaniel Green, Jr. was born October 8, 1953 to the late Garland Green, Sr.  and Catherine Alston Green.  He departed this life peacefully on December 24, 2018 at UNC Hospice House.

Garland joined Glovers Grove A.M.E. Zion church at an early age; whereas, he was an active member until his health started to decline.  He was a member of the Morning Star choir and the Male Chorus.

Garland was married to the former Eva Degraffenreidt and two children were to this union.  He enjoyed cooking, working in his yard, and spending time with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Amy Michelle Green of Cary, NC and Justin Green (Jessica); grandson, Julian of Greensboro, NC;  his mother, Catherine Green of Pittsboro, NC; sisters, Helen Cotton (Velnon) of New Hill, NC; and Deborah Green of Pittsboro NC.
