Edward Reaves, Jr.

Mr. Edward Reaves, Jr. 86 of 2094 NC Hwy 902 Pittsboro, NC passed on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at his residence.

Edward Reaves Jr, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2019. He was born to the late Joe Ed and Lula J. Reaves on April 10, 1933. He went to Horton High School in Pittsboro, NC. He was married to Elizabeth Watson Reaves on July 31, 1954. To this union five beautiful children were born, Percy Reaves, Josephine Latimore, Annette Reaves, Larry Reaves, and Jacqueline Williams. He was employed many years at C&H Processing, Allied Chemical and  finished his working years at Goldston Lumber Mill. He joined Union Grove AME Zion Church where he was an active member until his health declined.

His parents Joe Ed and Lula J. Reaves, Clara Farrar, Thelma Cotton, Gladys Thompson, Beamon Page, Delois Reaves, and Willie Ed Reaves preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories a devoted and caring wife of sixty-four years Elizabeth Watson Reaves of the home. His children Percy Reaves (Edith), Josephine Latimore, Annette Reaves, Larry Reaves (Lorene) all of Pittsboro, NC and Rev. Jacqueline Williams (Pastor Marcus) of Sanford, NC. Seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
