David Mickle

Mr. David Mickle, age 65, of Randallstown, MD. passed on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown , MD. Mr. Mickle was born September 17, 1952 in Sanford, North Carolina.

David Mickle was born September 17, 1952 to the late Lawrence and Pauline (McKeithen) Mickle in Sanford, North Carolina.  He departed this life on Monday, February 26, 2018.

David received his former education at Lee Elementary and Central High School in Sanford, North Carolina.  In 1971, he moved to Washington, DC where he was employed with Adams-Burch.  Later he relocated to Randallstown, Maryland where he worked and retired from Leaseway Motor Transport.

David married Demetria Christian on June 23, 2001.

David affectionately known as “Brother” in Sanford and “Mickie” after relocating to the Washington area was a fun and loving person.  He enjoyed dancing, gardening and watching Western movies.  He was a perfectionist at washing cars and manicuring his lawn. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Demetria Mickle of the home; daughters, Thalia Person of Raleigh, NC, Tonya McIver (Darrell) of Sanford, NC, Lisa Chase (Terry) of Baltimore, MD; son, Derrick Burton (Falesha) of Reisterstown, MD; grandchildren, Kaliah Malloy, Danesha McIver, Darrell C. McIver, Damarco Burton, Ashlee McPhatter,  Ethan Burton, and Anthony Burton; brother, Lawton Mickle (Linda) of Severn, Maryland; sister, Marcia Stroud of Sanford, NC; aunt, Pansy Graham of Sanford, NC; uncle, Lucius Graham (Betty) of Scotland Neck, NC, and Mitchell Walker of Sanford, NC;  mother-in-law, Audrey Newmuis of Baltimore, MD; sisters-in-law, Fabienne Randall, Duane Christian, and Darryl Brown (Ellsworth); special friends, Rodney Smith, Marvin Taylor Sr. and Johnny Wortham; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
