Clyde “Coot” Odell Faulk

Mr. Clyde “Coot” Odell Faulk, age 79 of 1804 Woodland Ave, Sanford NC., passed on Friday, July, 26, 2019 at his residence.

Our beloved Clyde Faulk was Born August 31, 1939 to the Late Mary V. Leach and Freddie Faulk in Hoke County NC. He departed this life on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the age of 79, at his residence.

He was educated at Pinckney High School in Carthage NC. Clyde or “Coot” as he was fondly known, was a long-term Member of Oakridge A.M.E. Zion Church where he served as a Trustee until he was no longer able to drive the distance to continue to serve. He worked at J.P. Davenport as a mechanic until he retired. Then he worked for Lee County General Services where he was employed upon his passing.

He was preceded in transitioning by his wife, Mable Faulk; two children, Michael Hamilton and Clyde Faulk Jr.; two stepchildren, Doris Mitchell and Elnora Smith and one brother, Freddie Faulk Jr.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a common law wife, Decey McDougald of Sanford N.C.; five children: Barbara McGregor of Vass NC, Theresa Martin of Carthage NC, Rhonda Smith of Lemon Springs NC, Cathy White of Bishopville SC, and Carlton Faulk (Marie) of Sanford NC. a brother, Lynwood Leach (Pam) of Washington DC; seven stepchildren: Evelyn Mcauley and Libby Smith of Sanford NC, and Glodean Robinson of Columbus Ohio, James Wilkerson (Barbara) of Sanford NC, Linda Wilkerson of Sanford NC, Tommy Wilkerson of Broadway NC and Bennie Wilkerson of Sanford NC; ten grandchildren: Khadijah Faulk of Fayetteville NC, Kayla Faulk of Fayetteville NC, Ianna Faulk of Martinsville Va, Amber White of Charlotte NC, Jaquana White of Bishopville SC, Antonio Timmons of Vass NC, Brian Smith (Shauniko) of Cameron NC, Kareem Smith of Cameron NC, and Latoya Smith of Cameron NC and a host of great grands, nieces and nephews and other family members & friends.
