Mrs. Charlotte Harris Rogers, age 67 of 2299 Alston Chapel Rd., Pittsboro, NC passed on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at UNC Hospice Home.
Charlotte Harris Rogers passed away peacefully on April 28, 2019. She was born to the late James and Emeline Reaves Harris on October 28, 1951 in Pittsboro, NC.
She graduated from Horton High School in 1970. She was united in holy matrimony to Tony Rogers on December 16, 1972. To this union two beautiful children were born; Sherrie and Tony Jr.
She worked many years at Chatham Mills and was later employed and retired from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on December 2013.
Charlotte was a loving wife and dedicated mother. She treasured and loved her children embracing every moment she spent with them. She especially loved her role as “Maw-Maw.” Charlotte has four grandchildren whom she loved tremendously and they loved her just as much. Her eyes lit up every time there were around. Charlotte joined Alston Chapel United Holy Church at an early age where she loved singing in the choir. She also worked in the church in any capacity that was needed.
Her parents, James and Emeline Harris, and a brother Ernest Harris preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories a devoted and caring husband Tony Sr. of the home, Sherrie Rogers Baldwin (Howard) of Chapel Hill, NC, Tony Rogers Jr. (Alicia) of Pittsboro, NC, and four beautiful grandchildren; Saniya, Shane, Camden, and Zander; one sister, Nellie Farrington; two brothers, James Harris (Minnie), Thomas “Chick” Harris (Doris) all of Pittsboro, NC, and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
