Bobby Carlton McDougald age 82 of 521 Sawyer Blvd, Apt 414 Columbus, Ohio passed on Tuesday, June, 18, 2019 at Ohio University Hospital.

Retired SSG Bobby Carlton McDougald was born in Broadway, NC to the late Furman “Buddy” and Catherine Akins McDougald on January 11, 1937.
Bobby served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1975. He served in the Vietnam War. He lived in Columbus, Ohio after returning from the military. During his tenure in the military, he served in an Armorer Unit, and as an Inventory Clerk while in Vietnam. He also served with Co. B 21st Engr. BN at FT. Carson, Colorado. Also, Co. B 1st BG 34th Inf. He later retired on May 31, 1975.
He was preceded in death by six sisters: Sarah, Verba, Vernon, Theodosia, Vivian “Jean” and Kay Francis; seven brothers: Furman, Charles, Louis “Sonny”, Delano, Furman Jr., Calvin and James Arthur.
He leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Patricia Althea McDougald and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sunset, an evening star and one clear call for me and may there be no mourning at the bar when
I’m put out to sea.
