Betty Ann Depoty, age 65 of 720 Burgess Circle, Broadway, NC passed on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at her residence.

Betty Ann DePoty was born on September 9, 1952 in Albion, New York to Wilbur DePoty and Betty Christian DePoty. She lived in Albion, New York most of her life where she raised her family with William S. Raines.

Ms. DePoty enjoyed spending time with her family, riding motorcycles and cooking for her family gatherings. Although Betty lived most of her life in New York she decided for a change when her children were out of her home she moved to North Carolina in the late 90’s. She resided there mostly, traveling between New York and North Carolina until her illness prevented her otherwise.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Weldon (Pritt), her parents, Wilbur DePoty and Betty Christian DePoty; her brothers, Eugene A. DePoty, Ronnie L. DePoty and her sister, Katherine A. DePoty Hoffstra.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Tammy and Deana DePoty; son, Adam Raines (Stephanie); grandchildren, Melissa Andress (Josh Crowe), Mathew Andress, Elizabeth Weldon (AJ), Van Skiver, William and Danielle Weldon, Taylor, Jordan and Corey Raines; great grandchildren, Brandson Crowe, Jaxson Wilder, Domonic, Alex Van Skiver and Gracelyn Raines; also her fur babies: Chico, Nikki, Peaches and Buttercup and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
