Barbara Faye Lassiter

Ms. Barbara Faye Lassiter, age 63 of Moncure, NC passed on Monday, June 24, 2019 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill, NC.

Barbara Faye Lassiter was born February 11, 1956 to Joe Lewis McCrimmon and Ruby Lassiter.  On June 24, 2019 God plucked another flower for his heavenly garden.

Faye received her education from Chatham County Schools.  She received Christ and joined Rose Hill AME Zion Church under the leadership of Rev. Todd Brooks and now Rev. Lynn Brandon.

She loved to travel with her church family and cook for many functions.  Her favorite song was "God is My Everything".  Often called by many names stuck as Miss Annie, Barbara Sue, Albert and Sally Mae, but everyone that knew her called her a friend.  She was a family person she loved her kids, grandkids and anybody kids that she came in contact with.   She raised the entire neighborhood and kids from miles around.  You could often find her at any sports event that she knew about.  She was the best cheerleader.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Crump, her mother Ruby Lassiter, aunt Mae Ruth Lassiter, brother Julius Lassiter, great grandson, Jordan Crump and god daughter,  Katrina Lassiter. 

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters:  Charity Ross (Lamar) of Pittsboro, NC, Kimberly Crump of Moncure, NC; four sons, Louis Crump Lassiter of the home, Barry Crump (Nina), Reginald Crump and Keith Crump of Sanford, NC; one sister Claudia Lassiter of Moncure;  two brothers: Roger Lassiter (Mary) of Moncure, NC and Jeffrey McCrimmon (Loleta) of Sanford, NC; her father Joe Lewis McCrimmon (Linda) of Chapel Hill, NC; 18 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; god children Johnny Norman (Lawanda), Perry Norman, Charity Baker, Darlene Taylor (William), Orishio Riggsbee and O'Brian Gunter; dear friends: Sandra McGhee, Mary Norman and James Hackney (Alice) and a host of nieces, nephews and other dear friends.
