Arlene Daily

Ms. Arlene Daily, age 60 of 508 Ramseur Street, Sanford, NC passed on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at her home.

Arlene Daily was born on November 22, 1958, first child to the late Octavia "Tia" Boykin Daily and Ernest Daily, Sr. in Harlem, NY. God decided it was time for her homegoing on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at her home in Sanford, North Carolina.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased in death by her youngest brother, Anthony (Tony Dee) Daily.

Arlene was educated in the New York City Public School System and attended Fashion Industries High School in New York, NY.

Shortly after her move, with her mother, to Sanford in 1977, she became employed at Allied Fibers. In 1981, Arlene enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve. She spent six weeks at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, where she studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special training in human relations. Arlene received additional specialized instruction in aircraft maintenance. Arlene reached the rank of Staff Sergeant prior to being disabled on duty during Hurricane Hugo in 1989.

Arlene is survived by one brother, Ernest C. Dailey, Jr. of New York, NY; nephew Ernest C. Daily, III of Syracuse, NY; niece, Porschia M. Epps of Ellenwood, GA; aunts, Nancy (James) Person of Sanford, NC and Albertine (Redell) Buie of Johnsonville, NC; uncles, Rev. Curtis (Doris) Boykin of Sanford, Ricky Boykin of Sanford, NC and Victor (Kellie) Boykin of Sanford, NC. Arlene is also mourned by a host of cousins, other relatives, godchildren, and friends.
