THE MEMORIAL REFLECTIONS
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise and call her blessed...” (Proverbs 31:25 - 28)
ANNIE ELIZABETH RICHARDSON DOWDY, the daughter of the late Sam and Annie Jane Handy Richardson, was born July 25, 1940 in Robeson County, NC. She was affectionately called “Lib” by her family and friends. Her departure from this world was on Sunday morning, April 14, 2019 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill NC after an extended illness.

She had a heart of taking care of people. She was known throughout the Carr Creek Community as everyone’s “Granny.” Family and friends were her pride and joy. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo.
